Good soil disinfection is important for higher yields and quality crops. Chemical disinfection is the most common technique, as it is a simple process incorporating all useful pesticides and herbicides.
Chemical products emit gases when released, so it is essential to cover the ground to be treated with a non-porous film.
DSPLUS film is specially manufactured to make a 100% successful disinfection process. Conventional films have a porosity allowing gases to escape. This means a more costly fumigation process, with less efficiency. The air inside the greenhouse becomes toxic with risks of chemical attacks to covers and a reduction in the duration of the material.
